Tips & Tricks!
Basic Tips
- Happy moves significantly faster while rolling, but is a bit harder to control. Try walking if you need to move precisely, and try rolling if you need to get around quickly!
- Collect watermelon slices to heal. You can hold up to 4 slices at a time, but don't run out, or else you'll lose a life!
- While looking through your binoculars, any nearby walnuts will be highlighted with a sparkle effect. Use this if you're struggling to find the last few walnuts left in a level!
- Through Happy's spellbook, you can quickly travel to any of the levels you've unlocked, without having to go back to their entrance portals.
- If you hear the croaking of frogs, that means there's one nearby! See if you can find it!
- Happy's best friend Merry can be found practicing his magic tricks in several different levels. If you happen to find him, he'll be more than happy (pun intended!) to teach you a new ability.
- Happy's Magic Bomb attack can be used to pop balloons, defeat enemies, and break barrels.
Advanced Tricks
- Happy doesn't slow down as quickly while in the air. Try jumping often to maintain momentum!
- Happy gets a small speed boost after diving. If you begin rolling immediately after he dives, you'll get some extra speed!
- You can perform a Ground Pound by beginning a Super Bounce, and then letting go of the roll button before Happy hits the ground.
- If you dive immediately after performing a Ground Pound, you'll perform a Super Dive, launching you forward with a huge amount of speed!
- Happy's Magic Bomb attack also provides a small boost in height - if you need a little more airtime or a little more height, performing this attack might help!
